Give ideas for Grace Hill Campus' Restoration

Shared from Tom Bratkowski's note about the September 12, 2022 Open House of the Grace Hill campus between 11th and Hadley in ONSL. The Episcopal Diocese envisions "A place of love and peace in Old North St. Louis, fostering community support through collaboration to nurture and enrich lives."

If you have ideas, submit them to the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri by October 16th per the instructions in the attachment below.

About 25 people including neighbors, visitors, builders, developers and Episcopal clergy participated in an open house on the Grace Hill campus last evening. The Chapel, and the attached buildings were open for viewing. The old clinic building and the rectory were not open for viewing.

The buildings have not been in use since the Grace Hill Corporation ended and merged its social services with the Urban League of St. Louis. Bishop Deon Johnson, the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri, explained that the campus has been owned by the Diocese since 1845 and the church does not want to sell or demolish the campus, but would like to see the campus once again become a major Old North neighborhood hub for spiritual, recreational, and community service. The Bishop asked the variour stakeholders to dream and produce workable ideas that the Diocese can use in moving forward for planning in the next months. If you would like to add your ideas to the mix, you can email the Grace Hill Task Force, Episcopal Diocese of Missouri at aaa@diocesemo.org

If you have any questions, you can contact Clark Davis, the Task Force Chair at davis@cameronmacallister.com
