North City Farmers' Market
North City Farmers' Market is a weekly street market featuring a variety of fresh foods and crafts along the 2700 block of N. 14th Street. The market takes place from the first Saturday of June through mid-October. When possible, the market features free health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, children's activities, and live music. The mission of North City Farmers' Market is to cultivate a healthy and sustainable community in Old North St. Louis and surrounding neighborhoods by bringing fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables, and other foods, along with other products, to the heart of Old North. The market accepts payments by EBT, cash, debit, and credit cards.
Old North St. Louis Restoration Group has hosted and coordinated North City Farmers' Market since 2007, with a vast portion of the work contributed by neighborhood residents and other volunteers. During the first five years of the market, ONSLRG received significant financial support from Missouri Foundation for Health to support the market. Other support has come from Missouri Department of Agriculture and a long list of individual contributors.
