Last Call for Community Supported Agriculture Subscriptions

The Lee Farms Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is now taking subscriptions for this year’s season of 20 weekly deliveries of farm-fresh produce.  This arrangement involves consumers who agree to pay Lee Farms to plant and harvest enough seeds to produce approximately 7-20 pounds of fruit and vegetables per subscriber each week from June through October.   Click on the images of the brochure below for more details.

If you can get your order in directly to Lee Farms (as described in the brochure), we strongly encourage you to do that - and please indicate a desire to pick up your box at the Old North drop-site.  The weekly deliveries for Old North take place at the Old North Grocery Co-op at N. 13th Street and St. Louis Avenue, just one block east of Crown Candy and two blocks west of I-70.   In the past, ONSLRG has provided a handout with each week’s box describing all of that week’s items and offering recipes for each item.

Over the past couple seasons, Old North St. Louis Restoration Group has purchased several extra subscriptions for residents who can’t get their order in before the deadline - and for some residents who can’t purchase a whole season’s worth of deliveries up-front but still want to buy a box on a weekly basis.  If you can’t get your subscription in to Rusty or Teresa at Lee Farms, please contact us at (or by phone at 314-241-5031) to let us know you’re interested in buying one of our subscriptions or making arrangements for a purchase on a week-by-week basis.  The produce from these extra boxes that doesn’t get purchased by residents will get sold at the North City Farmers’ Market.
