Old North Farmers Market

The first of the weekly North City Farmers’ Markets was held this past Saturday on the soon to be redeveloped 14th street mall at the intersection of 14th and St. Louis (across the street from Crown Candy). The opening day was successful. Come back this Saturday, and every Saturday through October from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, and other products. The Urban Studio is also providing entertainment and activities for children. The North City Farmers Market is produced thanks to a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health and the initiative of the folks at New Roots Urban Farm, in collaboration with ONSLRG and several other community groups.

"Old North Farmers Market"
Why did Black Bear Bakery bail on the farmer’s market?
looks really colorful. i’m suprised for all the publicity about the farmer’s market opening that no one else put up pictures
As the post from June 30 mentions, Black Bear Bakery does indeed provide baked goods for sale at the market. You can find their products at the New Roots booth. If you have any contact with the folks at the bakery, let them know that you appreciate their presence at the North City Farmers’ Market and look forward to buying more of their stuff there.
