Capoeira in ONSL
The Urban Studio ( is offering Capoeira classes in ONSL for adults and children this summer. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that looks like a combination of dance, aerobics, gymnastics, and kick-boxing (without the violence). Whether you can pronounce it or not, it is fascinating to watch. The following photos were from the demonstration at Strodtman Park on July 12.

Below Phil Valko, co-founder and co-director of the Urban Studio, discusses the program with a participant as the demonstration is in progress behind him.
